ISEB System Development and Architecture
This subject area is concerned with the fundamental skills of systems development. It focusses on the full development lifecycle and the certificates consider a range of lifecycle models from structured to agile. The scheme is based on a series of individual modular certificates. Holders of a specified set of these individual certificates can sit for an ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis.
II - Practitioner

- Certificate in System Modelling Techniques [SMTOO] or [SMTST]
- Certificate in System Design and Implementation Techniques [SSMD]
- Certificate in Configuration, Change and Release Management [CCRM]
III - Specialist

*To achieve the Diploma in System Development you must first achieve a valid combination of Certificates and then successfully complete an Oral Examination. The required certificates are:
3 Core Certificates
- Certificate in System Development Essentials [SDE]
- Certificate in System Modelling Techniques [SMTOO] or [SMTST]
- Certificate in System Design and Implementation Techniques [SSMD] or [SDIT]
1 Specialism selected from the following
- Certificate in IT Architecture [TAID]
- Certificate in Business Analysis Essentials [BAE]
- Foundation Certificate in Software Testing [SQA]

Parity's three core certificates focus on Structured Techniques and are studied on two courses of five days each, [SSDE] and [SSMD]. Parity will offer alternative certificates and courses based on other lifecycle models shortly.
